Danny, this is an area of influence that I'm truly passionate about having had the opportunity to lead/command/mentor as an Air Force officer.

I submit for your consideration the following info from John Maxwell: http://www.johnmaxwell.com/downloads/jm_growthplan.pdf

This is a great place to start for anyone. All the best!

This was a great reminder. Sometimes, I think I wait believing that most people will do the right thing because that would be the right thing, but we all get caught up in our own stuff sometimes. Also, we must remember that we are all leaders and someone is always watching us. Our choices will either lead them positively or negatively, but we will be leading, so we need to try to remember to lead like Christ, in love first, but in truth always!!!

Be Blessed,
Terrilyn

Thank you for this reminder that really, every decision we make influences where we are, where we are going, and what or who is watching. Where and how we invest our time is a reflection of our hearts and what matters most to us. Investing in the gift of our salvation, sharing it with others can and should be done as often as possible, especially in our own homes, our jobs, even our recreations. Thank you again for the reminder that what we invest in on this earth is truly temporary, while that which we invest in heaven is eternal. I would very much rather bring as many with me to heaven!

Sincerely,
Terrilyn

Pastor Doug,

Thank you for the wonderful encouragement and rubric for how to easily monitor the recognition and developement of potential learders. Gary and I recognized a couple in our Crown class that we are definately recommending for next semesters Crown leardership training. I am copying your article to put in our own folder to remind us each time we lead a group.

May the Son Always Shine On, In, and Through You,
Terrilyn

This is so powerful! As a leader I frequently hear sentiments from so, so many Christians that "I just don't have time to read" or "I don't understand the Word," etc. I have "intentionally" made it my mission to help people to become "equipped" with God's Word and how they can practically develop and mature in their relationship with God. I have found from praying with people, that most of them are suffering from "starvation" from not eating God's Word and from the lack of nurturing their relationship with their Heavenly Father. They're just plain perishing from "lack of knowedge!" Thank you for this post, it is most needed!
